6 years ago I developed the identity for the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Culture, and getting the system right with a host of stakeholders and very different opinions was a memorable challenge. However, after I got the main idea through - a system to color-code the main focus topics of the Ministry, replacing the previous traditional, number-based departmental maze - the identity system got adopted very quickly throughout the organisation.
